The crime took place at Mile 2, Estate area of the state, Saturday morning, The Eagle Online reports.

A 25-year-old Oluropo Tifase is believed to have stabbed his father to death with scissors during their quarrel.

According to the reports, the deceased was rebuking his son for his inappropriate behaviour before the latter cruelly attacked him.

Residents from the area, where the crime took place, alleged that Moses Tifase was murdered by his son, who had been earlier dismissed from the University of Lagos.

Lagos State police spokesman, Kenneth Nwosu, later revealed that the suspect had been having constant battles with his late father over his uncontrollable behavior.

“The suspect and his late father had a sour relationship due to his unruly behaviour. The father and the son have not been in good relationship, but on the fateful day of the incident, the suspect and his father engaged each other in a serious argument.
“The suspect angrily picked up a scissors and stabbed his father on the neck.”

The police spokesman added that the suspect’s mother and sister were present when the crime was committed. That is why three members of the family were taken to SCID for further investigation.

A similar crime happened earlier this year in Enugu State where a 30-year-old man, Chukwukezi Afonogu shot his father dead from the hunter’ gun after one of their quarrels.
