Military Warns Amaechi, Others Over Mutiny Comments

Mutiny

The Nigerian Military on Friday warned politicians in the country against using political campaigns to undermine its operations.

This was apparently in response to a recent call by the Rivers state governor and Director-General, All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Organisation, Chibuike Amaechi, where he encouraged soldiers to protest against the Federal Government.

“In view of the series of insinuations, allegations and false claims being made by certain activists and politicians on the legal and disciplinary process in the Nigerian military, the Defence Headquarters finds it necessary to make this call,” a statement issued by the Director of Defence Information, Maj.-Gen. Chris Olukolade, said.

“Politicians should avoid using the forum or medium of their political campaigns to incite or endorse acts of indiscipline in the nation’s military establishments.

“This call has become necessary as the trend got to another level on Tuesday when a prominent politician declared that soldiers have the right to protest Federal Government’s failure to fully equip them.

“It was expected that the fellow quoted or his party would have made immediate moves to correct this fallacy or erroneous impression being propagated, especially in view of the level of knowledge of his principal and candidate in the forthcoming elections.

The statement said since no such gesture was forthcoming there was the need to caution against “the propagation of this dangerous idea before it causes more problems’’.

“The military institution, for the avoidance of any doubt, rejects this declaration and its intention in all ramifications,” the statement read.

The military explained further that its law, as recognised by the Constitution of the Federation, is an appropriate legal document for the management of affairs of the military.

“The processes it outlines for handling military offences remain legal and will continue to be applied in the interest of the nation’s security and democracy.

“Individuals and interest groups seeking to play to the gallery by being meddlesome, sensational or mischievous in interpreting developments in the military are advised to moderate their activities with some decorum.

“It is clear that the false accusations which depend on unsubstantiated allegations being peddled about the military operations in Nigeria are intended to tarnish the reputation of the military and its leadership.

“The campaign apparently aimed at undermining constituted authority in the military must not be encouraged,’’ it said.

The statement noted further that the war on terror is not all about equipment, but mindset of both the military and the public, and inciting remarks can only compound the situation for all involved.

It however noted that “The Nigerian military has resolved not to yield to whims and caprices of those seeking to undermine its system purely for populist or political ends.”

Immediately an ex-militant and an element indicted by security report became a governor by litigation, and now a campaign manager,I anticipated an “area boys”campaign approach.Inciting the military, reminiscent of Nigerian politicians,is not in the best interest of Nigerians.Amaechi is suffering from anxiety in anticipation of charges bothering on vices, hence he and his cohorts want to rock the Nigerian boat.Politicians should talk issues and not character assassination, malignment, and inciteful statements. If you do not win today, you will win tomorrow. Leave the military alone.Arms and ammunitions are not only the instrument to win insurgency and terrorism. As we have “skelewu” workers in the offices and private sectors,so we have them in the military.Such workers are lazy, fault finding and excuse mongers and can do anything to dodge responsibility.

This is purely an act of sabotage trying to subverse Nigerian Military’s mind against the constituted government. All effort have to be made to root out politicians in our military because the Amechi of a person must have established a strong stand among the military before having such statement publicized. For Christ sake hw on earth would a raw bloody sinner like Amechi will be inciting in the military at this time that we are praying for God’s help in fighting the BHT that is possing a strong challenging hand to us to turn against the leaders that are piloting the affairs of our nation? He must have bad intension and thats why he want to divert the nation’s attension to this and he suppose to called for questioning as regards his subversive statement and mutiny planing. All eyes should remain open please. Dear fellows, lets face what is facing us and forget these politicians, we will have their time in no distant time……. Long live Nigerian military as we pray for God’s protection and help in bringing this insurgency to a succesful end. My loyality I pledge to the Fed. Rep. Of. Nigeria……

Nigerian businessman, Femi Otedola has finally reacted to the shooting that took place at Lekki Tollgate, Lagos on Tuesday.

Information Nigeria recalls men dressed in military wears opened fire on unarmed #EndSARS protesters, who convened at the area.

Otedola took to his Instagram page on Sunday to commiserate with the families of those who lost their lives in the unfortunate incident.

Sharing a photo of the Nigerian flag, he wrote;

“The horrors that have been unfolding in our country have left me filled with sadness. I deeply commiserate with those who have lost their loved ones and as a father, I share the sentiment of my three daughters who protested in Lagos and London. As a young boy of 16, I participated in the ‘Ali Must Go Protest’ of 1978, so I understand the determination of our youths who rightly want our country to be better. We must all do our part to make Nigeria great! I will continue to do my own quota in providing for those who are most in need of support in our country in these tough times .…F.Ote💲”

“Oke Wasn’t Killed By Stray Bullet, He Was Stabbed By Thugs” - Brother Claims
Oke

Oke

Information Nigeria recalls a graphics designer identified as Oke, was killed hours after tweeting “Nigeria will not kill me” on Wednesday.

It was reported that the young man had passed away after he was hit by a stray bullet.

The deceased’s younger brother, Daniel has come out to clear the air regarding the circumstances leading to his death.

Daniel revealed his brother was stabbed on the neck by thugs who infiltrated and ransacked their home.

In his words;

Good day, My name is Obi-Enadhuze Daniel younger brother of the now deceased Okechukwu Obi-Enadhuze @O_Okee . I, my brother and mother lived at makinde police barracks, mafoluku, Oshodi, Lagos State.

Today at about 11 o’clock in the morning the police station at makinde was attacked by thugs who wanted to destroy the station, I my mom and brother were holed up in our house.

The attack went on for hours before the thugs eventually breached the police and proceeded to set the station on fire, after accomplishing this they set their sights to the barracks and began the assault, they proceeded to destroy every car in the barracks, my mom’s 2 cars where destroyed and set on fire and then they infiltrated our house by breaking the door they then proceeded to ransack the house and carted away with everything we own.

my brother on trying to get them to take everything but spare us was pushed to my mom’s room and stabbed on the neck, the attacker then proceeded to attack me but missed my neck but got my chin instead, after this my mom and I carried my brothers body to the entrance of the station soliciting for help from the thugs still ravaging the barracks, we were finally able to put him in a wheelbarrow and took him to a hospital where he was rejected because “he was already dead” unfazed we moved him to another hospital where he met the same treatment this was where he bled his last drops of blood and died, his body has now been moved to a morgue

we have lost every single thing we own, as our house was completely ransacked and set on fire the only thing left is my brothers phone and at about 8 o’clock this evening the barracks was still on fire but Okechukwu has paid with the ultimate price

I and my mother are homeless with nothing now but we’re safe for now, we thank everyone that has been able to reach out to us, and were able to share consoling words with us in these trying times, God bless you

While we were holed up in the house the three of us said these words together and we say it again ” THREE OF US ARE HERE, THREE OF US ARE TOGETHER, THREE OF US ARE SAFE”

Let it be known that my brother @O_Okee  was NOT killed by a police bullet but died a hero protecting my mother and I.

If you see this please retweet, let the world know how Okechukwu died. He was NOT killed by a police bullet but thugs in his home!”
