The Chairman, fund raising committee for General Muhammadu Buhari Support Group, Farouk Aliyu has warned Jigawa State governor, Sule Lamido against attacking the personality of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at political gatherings.

“Though we know Governor Lamido has problem, because some times he talk in support of General Buhari by asking the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP supporters to vote for him (Buhari) secretly during the forth coming elections,” Aliyu told journalists after the fund raising campaign organised in Dutse.

He noted that Lamido openly criticised General Buhari while he showed support for President Goodluck Jonathan. This, he said, was partly because one of the House of Representative members representing Birninkudu/Buji federal constituency of Jigawa State, Sabo Nakudu to the APC.

“For this, I am assuring you that in Jigawa, Buhari will get over two million votes and Jonathan will get only but one vote, that of Lamido himself.

“General Buhari has never talked about Sule Lamido in anyway, under whatever circumstances. Buhari is not his mate, he is far ahead of Lamido. It is only Lamido that can double talk, criticise even Jonathan he always claimed to be supporting by asking his supporters not to vote for him.”

Aliyu also boasted that Nigerians trust Buhari and that explains why they have been donating towards the smooth running of his electioneering campaign.

“The money realised from Nigerians through the sale of scratch cards will be used in hiring vehicles for campaigns, payment of agents during election as well as other logistic in support of the party,” Aliyu said.
