47 Ships Carrying Petroleum Products, Containers, Expected In Lagos

Nigerian-Ports-Authority-NPA-ShippingForty-seven ships containing petroleum products, foods, containers and other commodities are expected to berth in Lagos from Dec. 15 to Jan. 2.

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) stated this in its daily publication, the “Shipping Position”, which was made available to journalists in Lagos on Monday.

According to the document, 21 of the expected ships are to bring in containers, while 11 are expected to sail in with food items such as rice, buckwheat, frozen fish and bulk sugar.

The document further indicated that 10 other ships would sail in with general cargo, four, with petroleum products and one, vehicles.

It also noted that 17 ships had arrived at the ports, waiting to offload their contents.

According to the NPA, 12 out of the 17 ships contained petrol, kerosene, base oil and crude palm oil, while the remainder had food items such as rice and bulk sugar.
