Oscar Signs Chelsea Contract Extension

Oscar has signed a new Chelsea contract which will see him remain at Stamford Bridge until 2019, the Premier League leaders have announced.

The 23-year-old joined the west London outfit from Brazilian club Internacional in the summer of 2012 for £19.35m, and has scored 27 goals in 92 appearances- 34 of those as a substitute.

The midfielder told the club’s website: “I am so happy because I love playing for Chelsea and living in England. I have enjoyed playing here for two years and now I have five more, so I am very happy.”

He has been a regular member of Jose Mourinho’s squad this season, making 15 appearances and scoring three league goals and the winner against Bolton Wanderers in the third round of the Capital One Cup in September.
