FG To Be Blamed For Crisis In Nasarawa – Tsav

Former Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Alhaji Abubakar Tsav says renewed violence in Nasarawa State was as a result of the federal government’s failure to prosecute the murderers of 74 security operatives who were killed in Alakyo in 2013.

“The renewed violence in Nasarawa State resulting in the death of many people is caused by the refusal of the Federal Government to take action on previous attacks by Ombatse militia in Alaikyo in 2013, in which 74 security operatives were ambushed and killed in cold blood,” Tsav told Vanguard in a telephone interview.

“The government did nothing to bring the perpetrators of the heinous crimes and their sponsors to justice,” he noted.

“The unfortunate policy in Nigeria today under the Jonathan administration is that, no one commits a crime, no matter how serious if the perpetrator is of the PDP stock.”

Fighting broke out in Lafia Monday after gunmen, Sunday invaded Alakyo, which is the ancestral home of the spiritual leader of Ombatse militia Lega Agu also known as Baba Alakyo. Seven people have been confirmed dead by the police.
