APC Will Not Impose Candidates In Ondo – State Chairman

The All Progressive Congress (APC) in Ondo State says it will not impose any of the new members who defected from other political parties, on the foundation members of the party, as candidates in the 2015 elections.

State Chairman of the party, Hon Isaac Kekemeke gave this assurance while presenting the party’s form to a former Finance Commissioner in the state, Chief Tayo Alasoadura, stressing that all aspirants will enjoy a level-playing field.

“All our aspirants will prove themselves as a level-playing ground would be given to all of them,” he said.

He noted that the influx of people into the party in the state gives sign of things to come, and more importantly, is an indication that APC will sweep the next year’s polls and the 2016/2017 governorship election.

Among those of defected to the APC ahead of the 2015 elections are two lawmakers of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Hon. Gbenga Edema, representing Ilaje Constituency II, and Hon. Fola Olaseinde, representing Ose Constituency, on Tuesday, who both left the Labour Party.
