Vintim, Badeh’s Hometown, Taken Over By Insurgents

Alex Badeh-Boko HaramVimtim village in Adamawa State, the native town of the Chief of Defence Staff, Air Marshal Alex Badeh, has finally been fallen to the Boko Haram insurgents.

According to Residents in the area, the insurgents have sacked locals of the village. A source, who confirmed the incident, said before the capture of Vintim on Thursday, the troops stationed there and the entire villagers were evacuated as the insurgents embarked on a looting spree and burning of property.

The takeover of Vimtim came barely 24 hours after Mubi, the second largest town in Adamawa State, was overrun by the insurgents.

Meanwhile, the state government has dispatched over a hundred buses to comb Mubi and its environs for people trapped and stranded for onward transit to the Internally Displaced Persons camp in the State capital.

Governor James Ngilari gave the directive Thursday afternoon when concerned citizens of Mubi visited to brief him on the current development in the area.

    U should know that God place u there to purge Nigeria. so u should b that it is in the blood of an average northern muslim to fight jihad. stop pleasing them. mind u it is God that is keeping u n Nigerian govt. we are praying for u n Nigerian govt. don’t think that those heartless people are still keeping those girls alive, they are just using the past pictures of the girls to slow govt down and to confuse u . please let soldier going for Boko haram fight know who is leading them. the Benue plateau people have suffered in the hands of this people. so make them commanders of soldiers for one month n boko will confess. northern muslim came to Benue n plateau in name of cattle rearing n killed many of our people. put Agatu, tiv, plateau, together with believers that suffered injustice in north commanders of soldiers. whether far northern muslim vote for u or not u will win the next election. because the three recognized majority tribes combined are not up to all the minorities tribes combined. purge the millitary of Hausa Fulanis. buy at least two fighters helicopters each for all states in Nigeria during the next election. any one who want to use force to tear Nigeria should b eliminated .tackle Buhari. he is the cause of all these. Northern muslim should not be incharge of any soldiers again. they are Boko helpers. Nigeria must b one. instead of allowing them to remove u n used the oil money to sponsor jihad all over the world. use that money to keep Nigeria one. no amount of money spent to cube terrorism that is too much. boko haram are still in few states ,do this now b4 they escalate to other states. God b with u PDP and NIGERIA. that is my observation ,I am not a politician .if Igbos could not tear Nigeria Northerners will not tear it likewise. we are Brothers. a word 4 u.

Cult Violence: Wike Imposes Two-Week Curfew Around Okoro-Nu-Odu

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has imposed a 24-hour total curfew for two weeks on some parts of Port-Harcourt, the state capital.

The Governor made this known during a broadcast on Sunday where he noted that the curfew begins from Monday 23rd November 2020.

The statement noted that the upsurge noticed by the state government in cases of cult activities, other forms of violence, and killings is responsible for the curfew.

Wike in the statement declared that the entire area along and around the Okoro-nodu flyover up to a one-kilometre radius from Saint Emmanuel Anglican Church, Rumuokoro, extending to the Rumuodomaya Slaughter and Local Government daily market will be affected.

He added that no form of trading, human or vehicular movement is allowed in the affected areas until further notice.

Zamfara Governor Secures Release Of 11 Kidnapped Victims

Governor of Zamafara, Bello Matawalle has announced the release of 11 kidnapped victims.

According to reports, ten of the victims were male and a female from Bukkuyum Local Government Area.

Matawalle received the rescued kidnapped victims on Saturday night at the Government House in Gusau, the state capital.

The Commissioner of Security and Home Affairs, Abubakar Muhammed Dauran revealed that the victims were released without paying a ransom.

He stated they were released as a result of the peace initiative and stakeholders meeting summoned by Governor Matawalle with all critical stakeholders from Bukkuyum Local Government Area on Thursday.

Governor Matawalle assured that his administration will not rest on its oars until total peace is achieved in all parts of the state.

Police Confirm Abduction Of Nasarawa APC Chairman

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State, Philip Shekwor, has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen.

According to reports, Shekwor was abducted on Saturday night at his residence along Dunamis church, Bukan Sidi in Lafia.

Confirming the incident, Police Commissioner Bola Longe said the unidentified gunmen in large number stormed the residence of the APC chairman in Lafia around 11 pm and took him away to an unknown destination.

According to him, security agencies had reacted swiftly by deploying personnel to different forest locations to ensure the safe release of the APC chieftain.
