Fayose’s Inauguration: Police Ready To Stop Arms Flow, Violence

Men of the Ekiti State Police Command have been put on alert ahead of the inauguration of the Governor-elect, Mr. Ayodele Fayose on Thursday, as intelligence reports reveal that some hoodlums were allegedly being recruited to disrupt the event.

Anti-riot policemen have therefore been stationed at all the entry points to Ado-Ekiti and other flashpoints within the town for thorough stop and search operation to ensure arms are not ferried illegally into the state.

In a statement by the State Police Commissioner, Mr. Taiwo Lakanu, the force raised alarm over intelligence report at its disposal that some people were allegedly planning to import thugs into the State to unleash violence on the day Fayose will be sworn in.

Policemen have therefore been stationed in several strategic points in the state.

In a statement to support the ongoing exercise, Lakanu urged the people to be on red alert and report any suspicious face or movement to the police to checkmate the activities of evil doers.
