EXCLUSIVE: Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere fit for Wednesday despite injury fears

Jack Wilshere was forced to leave the pitch on Saturday with a knee injury, while the Gunners were trailing 2-1 to Hull City.

Arsenal’s injury woes seemed exacerbated on Saturday when Hull City were visitors at the Emirates Stadium.

The home side drew first blood early on with Alexis Sanchez solo run into the box and an emphatic left bottom corner finish. But moments later, Mohamed Diame replicated the Chilean’s effort to equalize for Hull City at the other end.

Abel Hernandez shocked the Emirates crowd when his header fired the black cats to a lead moments after restart.

Jack Wilshere, who had an impressive first half went into a silly challenge on Gaston Ramirez after 68 minutes of play, hurting himself in the process.

The injury looked bad and he was subsequently withdrawn. However sources have played down the extent of the damage, briefing Information Nigeria that the Midfielder is in contention to start on Wednesday as the gunners battle Anderlecht in the Uefa Champions League.

Arsene Wenger has suffered injury blows to his key men this season. Among notable names are Olivier Giroud, Mathieu Debuchy and Mesut Ozil all sidelined for lengthy periods. They were recently boosted with the return of Theo Walcott and Aaron Ramsey.
