2015: PDP’ll Recover South-West States From APC – Reps Majority Leader

Mulikat Adeola-AkandeThe Majority leader of the House of Representatives, Hon. Mulikat Akande-Adeola, on Monday, boasted that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would recover all the South-West states from the All Progressive Congress (APC) in a free and fair election in 2015.

The majority leader, who represents, the Oyo, Ogbomosho North, South/Orire Federal Constituency, told journalists yesterday at the national secretariat of the PDP in Abuja shortly after she picked her expression of interest and nomination forms for another term in the House of Representatives that the party was already set to redress the electoral setbacks it suffered in the last general election in the South-West.

According to her, “PDP suffered major setback in the South-West zone in the 2011 general election, but now, the efforts we are making are apparent, as you can see, we won in Ekiti State and that means all the members in the state and National Assemblies will be coming from the PDP this time”.

Hitting home on her state of Oyo, the lawmaker said, “In Oyo State; we don’t have a governor, we have five members from there in the House of Representatives and the number is going to double now. In Ogun State also, we didn’t have but a lot of members have defected and they are coming back”.

Mrs. Akande-Adeola expressed optimism that she has earned the confidence of her constituents to warrant her victory in the forthcoming poll.
