Woman Faces Execution For Starving Her Cheating Girlfriend’s 9-Year-Old Son To Death

A woman convicted of allegedly starving her girlfriend’s 9-year-old son to death in 2004 because she was cheating on her is scheduled to be executed today by lethal injection at a Texas state prison, according to authorities.

The woman’s name is Lisa Ann Coleman and she is 38-years-old. She will be making history by becoming the second woman executed in the United States this year and only the 15th woman executed since the U.S. Supreme Court reinstated the death penalty in 1976.

Lisa Ann Coleman is scheduled to be killed today after 6 pm Central Time at the Texas death chamber in Huntsville. Lisa will be the 517th prisoner put to death in Texas, which is the most executions of any state since 1976.

Police officers were told to report to Lisa Ann Coleman’s house back in July of 2004, where they discovered her son Davontae Williams dead. The 9-year-old boy suffered a disfigured ear, ligature marks on his wrists and swollen hands and ankles, according to court records.

According to the autopsy report, Davontae Williams, son of Lisa Coleman’s longtime girlfriend, Marcella Williams, had suffered a horrible death from pneumonia and malnutrition and weighed only 35 pounds, court records specified.

Davontae Williams was repeatedly beaten with a gold club and extension cord, according to investigators. Davontae’s body also showed showed various signs of being treated with creams, bandages, ointments, and over-the-counter medications, court records stated.

Investigators also discovered the child was given chicken noodle soup and Pedialyte before he passed away, but a doctor testified on Davontae’s behalf and told officials the food he received was not enough for him to survive, court records stated.

In 2006, a jury convicted Coleman of capital murder and she was also sentenced to death. Her girlfriend Marcella Williams was also convicted of capital murder. Marcella Williams was sentenced to life in prison and is eligible for parole in 30 years, according to prison records.

Do you think Marcella Williams should have been sentenced to death?
