Allegation Of Boko Haram Sponsorship Attempt To Demonise Ihejirika – Aka Ikenga

azubuike ihejirikaAn Igbo think tank, Aka Ikenga, has faulted attempts to portray former Chief of Army Staff, Lt General Azubuike Ihejirika (retd), as an alleged sponsor of Boko Haram insurgents, describing the development as a “satanic machination and conspiracy of the anti-Nigeria mafia in the ridiculous attempt to demonise Ihejirika”.

In a statement by its President, Chief Goddy Uwazurike, entitled ‘Enough is enough’, the group commended the former army chief for serving Nigeria meritoriously but faulted the alleged conspiracy and propaganda that Ihejirika was sponsoring Boko Haram.

According to Aka Ikenga, the same anti-Nigeria Mafia has conducted another propaganda after conspiring with a phantom Australian negotiator, Stephen Davis, to allege that Ihejirika is a sponsor of the same Boko Haram that he dedicated his tenure as Chief of Army Staff to fighting.

Aka Ikenga queried: “Is this not standing logic on its head? Boko Haram started under Obasanjo Government in 2002. Malam El-Rufai was a key member of Obasanjo’s Government from 1999 to 2006. late President Yar’Adua fought Boko Haram in 2009, while El- Rufai was doing further studies abroad. He returned as soon as Goodluck Jonathan became the President of Nigeria and was, indeed, one of those speculated to be angling for the seat of the Vice President”.
