Jonathan Doesn’t Know His Job – Tinubu

Published

on

APC-Osun-RallyAhead of the governorship election in Osun State this weekend, a national leader of the All Progressives Congress and former Lagos State governor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has urged the people not to be deterred, admonishing them that “you cannot eat omelet without breaking an egg”.

Tinubu, who addressed a huge crowd of supporters that turned out for the party’s mega rally for the re-election of Governor Rauf Aregbesola at the Township Stadium, Osogbo, also accused President Goodluck Jonathan of ineptitude.

On Saturday’s gubernatorial poll and the president’s directive for Osun to be heavily policed, Tinubu said: “Don’t be intimidated by the soldiers or police. We give them their uniform and pay their salaries. We won’t allow anybody to use police and soldiers to harrass us. Our party agents should not take bribe from anybody to sabotage the election. If you stand firm you will be the first set of people to be recruited for jobs when it is time for it”.

Tinubu pointed out President Jonathan’s failure in many sectors, especially with regards to the abducted Chibok schoolgirls, “They keep saying they know where the kidnapped girls are kept. If truly they know, let them bring them out and if it is the enemies that keep them and they know, it means they are saying they should be taken away”.

He continued: “It is a broom revolution. You must come out, everyone of you to cast your vote. Don’t be afraid of the police or the soldiers. They are paid to protect you. They are part of us. We have them in our families.

“We know them. We must be careful and vigilant this time. But we must protect our votes. The soldiers are to protect you. They cannot use the uniform to steal our votes. Defend your votes. Our agents must be vigilant.

“Jonathan is an incapable leader. He does not know this job. Where are our girls? They say they know where the girls are. If so, why not bring them out and set them free. Bring back the girls. APC is a party of the common man. Don’t be intimidated.

“Tell the soldiers to let you perform your civic duty. Police affairs minister and some PDP chieftain are bragging that Aregbesola will not win a single local government. It seems they have seen the results before the voting.

“They seem to know what you don’t know. We will win Osun State. They governor has performed. He is constantly working for the people”, the former Lagos governor said.

Aside from APC National Chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola, Edo State governor, Adams Oshiomole; Oyo State governor, Abiola Ajimobi; a former chairman of the party, Bisi Akande, Ogun State governor, Ibikunle Amosun; Imo State governor, Rochas Okorocha; Kwara State governor, Abdulfattah Ahmed; his predecessor in office, Senator Bukola Saraki, former governors of Osun State, Isiaka Adeleke and Olagunsoye Oyinlola, as well as other leaders of the party were present at the rally.

Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu is one Nigerian that should not be seen anywhere near where the people’s mandate is discussed. This is a man who failed woefully in Lagos as can be glimpsed from the performances of his successor Gov Fasola. It is because we are in a third world country where anything goes. Bola Ahmed Tinubu should ordinarily be in jail for all the money he wasted without any physical transformation in Lagos state to show for it. Of course he can never be the president of this country there are lots of better breed of the Yoruba race to be chosen from. He should leave Jonathan to finish his tenure and nigerians to decide the next president

I Received Vision That I Would Be Governor – Oyetola

Gboyega Oyetola

Governor of Osun State, Gboyega Oyetola has stated that God revealed to him in a dream that he would be Governor of the State long before he joined the race.

He revealed this while speaking at a service held to commemorate the second anniversary of his administration at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Osun Province 1 Headquarters, Osogbo, on Sunday.

Oyetola said, “I am ordinarily not one who sees visions but on two occasions, I had a strange encounter. Imagine the son of an Imam, receiving a Christian song in a dream. That was my encounter.

“All I could remember on both occasions was the last line of the song which says ‘IleriOluwa ni lati se’. Outside of that dream, I had never heard the song before. When the impression was heavy on my heart, I called one of my friends to ask him about the song, and he told me the song was the Track 2 of Timi Oshikoya’s album.

“He went out and got me the album and immediately I started listening to the track, my consciousness was restored and then I had an understanding of what God was saying to me. That revelation has continued to give me confidence of victory each time I am faced with legal and political battles since becoming governor.”

Anyim Backed Out Of Defection Over Visit to Buhari – Umahi

Dave Umahi

Governor of Ebonyi State, Dave Umahi has claimed that a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari stopped former Senate President, Pius Anyim and National Assembly members from the state from defecting to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He made the claim on Sunday while speaking during an APC stakeholders’ meeting at the Bouquet Lodge, Old Government House, Abakaliki, Ebonyi State.

Umahi claimed that Anyim who served as Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) in the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan, and others refused to defect because he outsmarted them all.

“They were planning to ambush me, but it is difficult to catch the air,” he said.

The governor insisted that he consulted all the National Assembly members and the elders from the state about his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), adding that they all agreed to the defection arrangement.

“Let me tell you, I’m not afraid of anybody but I respect everybody. But I have said that if God sent me, this will be the last fight in this state,” he said.

Umahi added: “All these people that came together to fight me, they collect contracts, they collect monthly pay, they collect vehicles. And when they are asked to bring people that worked for us, they will bring their wives, children and relations.

“Now, they are dressing words for us. We are in chapter one, in Chapter two, I will publish all that I have done for the leaders of this state.”
