Nigeria international striker Joseph Akpala has signed a thee-year deal with Karabukspor, after playing on loan at the Turkish club last season.
The 27-year-old joins from German outfit Werder Bremen for an undisclosed fee.
Akpala scored six goals in 14 Super Lig games last season, to help Karabukspor gain promotion to the Europa League, where they will play St. Etienne in the play-off rounds.
The Jos-born footballer signed a four-year contract with Werder Bremen from Belgium side Club Brugge in August 2012, but made just 21 appearances- mostly as substitute- in his only Bundesliga campaign.
Akpala’s first Nigeria cap came in September 2008 and was part of the country’s squad at last year’s Confederations Cup.
Karabukspor had one-time featured another Nigerian Emmanuel Emenike (2009-2011).
