Spurs Set to Complete Ben Davies Move from Swansea

Swansea City full-back Ben Davies is set to complete a move to fellow Premier League club Totteham Hotspur.

The 21-year-old has left the Welsh club’s pre-season tour camp in the United States early to undergo medical at White Hart Lane.

Spurs could offer midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson, 24, as part of a proposed swap deal.

The London outfit look to have beaten Liverpool to the Wales international since reaching agreement with Swansea earlier this week.

Both Swansea and Spurs, who are currently on pre-season tours in America, are believed to have conducted negotiations easily owing to their close link in the States.

Swansea manager Garry Monk is believed to want to use any deal with Tottenham to engineer a return for Sigurdsson, who scored 7 times in 18 league matches during a five-month loan spell at the Liberty Stadium from Bundesliga outfit Hoffenheim in 2011-12.

Davies extended his Swansea contract last December until 2017 and even played 45 minutes of his club’s pre-season friendly 1-1 draw with Chivas Guadalajara on Wednesday before pulling out of Saturday’s final 2-0 defeat against Minnesota United following Tottenham interest.

New Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is also believed to be interested in Swansea’s Netherlands international goalkeeper Michel Vorm.

The arrival of former Arsenal goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski at Swansea in May has since fueled departure rumour for the 30-year-old Vorm, who made a dying minute World Cup appearance in Hollands 3-0 third-place match win over hosts Brazil.
