Jonathan Commiserates With Wada Over His Father’s Death

President Goodluck Jonathan has commiserated with the Governor of Kogi State, Captain Idris Wada and the government and people of the state on the passing away of the father of the governor, Pa Wada Ejiga at the age of 100 years.

According to a statement yesterday by his spokesman, Reuben Abati, the President described the late centenarian as a worthy son of Kogi State who contributed in no small measure to the educational development of Igalaland in particular and the state in general.

Jonathan implored the bereaved family and the people of Kogi State to take solace in the fact that the late Pa Ejiga lived a very happy and fulfilled life as a community leader and a devoted father.

He said, “As a family man, he succeeded in nurturing his children among whom is Governor Idris Wada, to prominent positions that had given them the opportunity to make lasting impact in society”.

The President prayed God Almighty to comfort the bereaved family members, their friends and well-wishers and grant the soul of the departed peaceful rest.

The late Pa Wada has been buried according to Islamic rites in his hometown of Odu, Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State.
