Suspected Fulani Herdsmen Kill 123 In Fresh Attacks

About 123 people in seven villages in Sanga local government area of Kaduna state have been killed in an onslaught by gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen on Tuesday, which started on Monday night, Thisday reports.

The invaders had earlier killed 38 people on Monday in simultaneous attacks on Kabamu and Ankpong villages.

The affected villages, according Mr Christopher Chisom, a vigilante leader in Gwantu, include Kobin, Dogon-Daji, Naidu, Kabamu, Hayin -Kwanta, Kabani and Gani.

“38 were killed in Kobin, 21 in Dogon- Daji, 16 in Naidu, 30 in Kabamu, 5 in Hayin Kwanta, 4 Kabani and 9 in Gani,” said Chisom in an interview. The figures have not been confirmed by an official source.

A 24-hour curfew had since been imposed in the area by the Sanga local government Chairman, Mr Emmanuel Adamau.
