Spain Names Final 23-Man Party for Brazil

Defending champions, Spain, have announced their 23-man squad for the 2014 Fifa World Cup in Brazil.

Atletico Madrid and Chelsea strikers Diego Costa and Fernando Torres have both earned their respective rights to feature for the ‘La Roja Furia’ in next month’s tournament.

Costa has made the final cut, despite struggling with a hamstring injury suffered in the La Liga champions’ title victory over Barcelona.

He will make the trip to his native Brazil, where he was born and raised and even made two friendly appearances for the country before becoming a naturalised Spaniard last year.

The 30-year-old made just 16 league appearances for the Blues this season, scoring five goals.
