At a press conference in Lagos, the state APC women leader, Chief Kemi Nelson charged mothers and women in every state to pick a day each week to stay at home to demand the release of the over 200 abducted school girls.

According to her, “We must demand accountability from those voted into power to protect us but have left us and our children without protection.

“We are saddened by the very slow response of the government and the security apparatus in handling the abduction of the girls. With the resources and security machinery at its disposal, this government has run out of excuses on this particular matter.

“On this score, we call on all mothers and women in every state to pick a day each week to protest and demand the release of the girls. We must not be silent. We must continue to agitate.

“We condemn women in politics who because of their positions, want to create doubts in our minds about the abduction in order to score cheap political points.

“We are clear in our minds about what is happening and what our demands are. Return the girls to safety and arrest and bring to justice the kidnappers”.
