Shumacher Now Has “Conscious Moments”- Agent

Michael Schumacher now has “moments of consciousness and awakening”, more than three months after the Formula 1 champion had a Ski accident in France.

Schumacher’s spokeswoman and agent, Sabine Kehm, said on Friday: “Michael is making progress…. He shows moments of consciousness and awakening,”

The F1 legend’s family said on January 30 that the drug used to keep the 45-year-old in coma was been gradually reduced to help him regain consciousness.

The seven-time champion suffered severe head injury in a skiing accident in the French Alps on 29 December.

“We are on his side during his long and difficult fight, together with the team of the hospital in Grenoble, and we keep remaining confident,” Kehm said.

“We would like to thank you all for the continuous sympathies. At the same time we again ask for understanding that we do not intend to disclose details.”

Schumacher retired last year after a three-year comeback with Mercedes following an earlier retirement from Ferrari at the end of 2006.
