About 30 students of the Baptist High School, Osogbo (formerly Baptist Girls’ High School), who were suspended for alleged cultism have been rehabilitated by the state
government in collaboration with the state chapter of the Parents Teachers Association (PTA).

The students were put through several trainings in moral and academics and have now been granted pardon by the state Governor, Mr Rauf Aregbesola.

The suspected students had been arrested in January by the Nigerian Peace Corps in the state after a protest by the students shortly after the schools reclassification policy of the state government was implemented.

The state government subsequently suspended some students of Baptist High School, Osogbo for alleged cultism and hooliganism.
