Ogun Police Recover Head Of Beheaded Infant

policeimages.jpgThe Ogun State Police Command said it has recovered the head of the two-year-old child who was beheaded at Ofada village in Obafemi Owode Loal Government Area of Ogun State.

The spokesperson of the command, Mr Muyiwa Adebajo, stated this in a statement issued in Abeokuta on Thursday.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the police arrested a suspected ritual killer on April 1 for beheading a baby after raping the mother.

The suspect however failed to disclose where the head was or what he did with it.

He said on Tuesday, the suspect led a police investigation team to a bush at the Mokola area of Ibadan where the head was recovered from a bush.

Adebajo, who said the suspect had confessed to the crime, added that he was still concealing some information on the other members of his gang.

He said the Commissioner of Police in the state, Ikemefuna Okoye, had directed that efforts be intensified to apprehend the other members of the gang and those who buy such materials. (NAN)
