A Texas couple is behind bars after authorities discovered their 5-year-old son had been locked underneath the stairs and starved in a severe case of abuse that deeply disturbed even the most seasoned officers.

On Friday, 24-year-old Bradley Bleimeyer got into an argument with his 16-year-old stepson over the conditions that the 5-year-old boy was living in. The teenager called the police, but before they arrived at the home, Bradley’s wife, Tammi Bleimeyer, took her emaciated stepson and fled the scene.

When authorities arrived, the teenager informed them that his mother had taken the 5-year-old boy before they got there. Police found a mattress in a closet underneath the stairs and took Bradley Bleimeyer into custody. Later on, they were able to catch up with Tammi Bleimeyer, arrest her, and bring the young boy to the hospital for treatment.

“He was severely under nourished, bone sticking out, bumps, bruises,” said Harris County Constable Precinct 4 Assistant Chief Mark Herman. “His skin was coming off on his back. It’s a horrific, horrific situation.”

Tammi Bleimeyer, who is reportedly pregnant and already has five children, including the 16-year-old, was eventually released from police custody on bond. Bradley, on the other hand, was held without bond because he was already out on bail for a prior burglary arrest.

All of the children from both parents are now in the custody of Child Protective Services, but reports claim that Tammi Bleimeyer is attempting to regain custody of her biological children.

  2. Woah! I’m really digging the template/theme of this website.
It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s very difficult to get that “perfect balance”
between user friendliness and visual appearance. I must say you’ve
done a fantastic job with this. In addition, the blog loads extremely fast for me
    on Opera. Exceptional Blog!
