Ekiti: Fayemi Treating Workers Like Second Class Citizens In Ekiti, Fayose Alleges

Ayo-Fayose-Vs-Kayode-FayemiThe Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship candidate in the June 21 elections in Ekiti State, Mr. Ayo Fayose, has threatened to disown and hand over to the police, any of his supporters that misbehaves during the campaigns.

Speaking at Ipoti, Iloro and Ijunrin Ekiti in Ijero Local Government, the PDP flag bearer also fired a warning at miscreants and party thugs within the party to either be of good behavior or get thrown off his campaign train.

Mr. Fayose noted with dismay some of the anti-social behavior exhibited by the thugs in his public outings, warning that he had enough official security and would not hesitate to throw them out.

“I want to urge you to stop any act of thuggery while following me. Some of you are in the habit of drinking yourself to stupor or drinking different brands of alcohol. I don’t want you to kill yourselves or injure people because of me”, he said

Speaking further, Fayose, who is a former governor of Ekiti, lampooned the incumbent, Dr. Kayode Fayemi of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for encouraging capital flight in the state saying most of the contracts awarded in the state went to persons from Lagos State.

He further declared that “The situation in the state is so pathetic. Ekiti workers can no more cope with the sharp economic reality in the state, they are really suffering, they are being treated like a second rate citizens by the present government in the state”.
