PDP Challenges APC, Others To Debate On Jonathan’s Achievements

APC vs PDPThe leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Wednesday in Abuja, challenged the opposition parties to a debate on the achievements of the President Goodluck Jonathan-led administration.

Mr Olisa Metuh, National Publicity Secretary of the party, gave the challenge in a statement, adding that the debate should be on zone by zone and sector by sector basis.

The party spokesman maintained that the facts were there, adding that the achievements of the PDP-led government in were visible “for all to see”.

He said that there were spirited moves to politicise the content and direction of the party`s last statement where it alerted Nigerians on attempts by some unpatriotic elements to frustrate President Jonathan.

The party, in the statement, alleged that the insurgency in some parts of the country was being sponsored by the opposition to distract and discredit President Jonathan`s administration.

“We stand by our statement and restate our commendation to President Jonathan for remaining undaunted and posting unprecedented achievements for the benefit of all Nigerians against all odds”, Metuh said.

He said that it was an incontrovertible fact that Nigerians had witnessed a just and equitable allocation and distribution of resources and infrastructure across the country, under the present PDP-led administration.

This, according to him, is due to the forthrightness of President Jonathan and vigorous application of his Transformation Agenda which has touched every segment of national life.

Metuh said that this was in spite of the enormous resources that had been channeled toward the fight against insurgency unleashed by enemies of the country.
