Osoba To Lead Delegation Of Ex-Govs To National Confab

segun-osoba-360x225A former governor of Ogun State, Aremo Olusegun Osoba has been elected as team leader of the delegates comprising of past governors that would represent the former states’ chief executives at the forthcoming National Conference.

The ex-governors, under the auspices of Former Governors Forum, in a statement signed by its chairman and former governor of Anambra State, Dr. Jim Nwobodo, listed other delegates to the confab as Mohammed Goni (North-East), Fidelis Tapgun (North-Central), Saidu Barda (North-West), Achike Udenwa (South-East), and Victor Attah (South-South). Mr. Osoba represents South-West.

It was learnt that the Forum met on Tuesday in the nation’s capital, Abuja, where it unanimously agreed that the former Ogun State governor should lead the delegation to the conference.

Mr. Nwobodo said the appointment of the delegates was in line with the modalities recently released by the Federal Government on the proposed National Conference.

“The delegates from the Forum are accomplished Nigerians whose capacity in different areas of human endeavours cannot be doubted. They will form a key pillar in the deliberations”, Mr. Nwobodo stated.

The Forum Chairman called on all Nigerians to pray for the success of the National Conference.
