Amaechi One Of The Best Govs We Have, Says Methodist Prelate

Amaechi-360x2251The Prelate of Methodist Church of Nigeria, Dr Samuel Uche, has commended Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State for the level of transformation in the state.

He gave the commendation when he led a delegation of officials and members of the church on a courtesy visit to the governor at Government House, Port Harcourt on Thursday, a statement by the Amaechi’s Chief Press Secretary, Dave Iyofor, said.

Uche said the state had witnessed a massive expansion of projects under the current administration.

The cleric said, “God has created you (Amaechi) specially.  We’ve been watching.  If you were a common man, you would have died, we’ve been watching.  It’s God that has given you the grace to weather the storm and in every respect God has ruled that He is on your side.

“You may not know that some people are praying for you but definitely people are praying for you because we don’t think that you committed a crime. We knew what happened but politics is not church. In the church, when you count the votes and somebody wins, he has won but in politics, I don’t know, there are other interests but that is just the simple matter but we thank God that you have a very strong heart and that hasn’t prevented you from your uncommon transformation of Rivers State.

“When we were coming, in fact, I couldn’t believe my eyes because when I was the Bishop of Owerri, I came here, most of the roads that were ongoing have been completed and more have been added to them and so many things are happening here.  In fact, this is the garden city of our delight.

“Your state is doing well and you are one of the best governors we have; we must say it. We can see it and you are not daunted or distracted by everything around you. Many stones were thrown at you and yet you are still afloat”, the statement quoted the Methodist Prelate as saying.
