Zaha Joins Cardiff City On Loan.

Manchester United have finally loaned winger Wilfried Zaha to Carfdiff City for the rest of the season.

Zaha joined United from Cardiff City for £15m in January 2013 but remained at Selhurst on Loan until last summer.

Since penning down for United- under the retired Sir Alex Ferguson, he has started just two games, the Community Shield victory over Wigan and the League Cup fourth-round win against Norwich.

His only Premier League appearance under David Moyes came as a substitute against Newcastle and Aston Villa in December.

The champions manager, Moyes, expects the former Crystal Palace player to benefit from his time at the Welsh club.

“I said right at the start of the season that if I could get him the games I’d keep him,” said Moyes. “If I couldn’t then I’d get him some games on loan.

“There were a few clubs who wanted him on loan but in the end we felt Cardiff was the right choice for him. Hopefully he will go and get those games, show what he can do in the Premier League and be ready to come back to us at the end of the season.

“He’s a young player – he has real potential. He did terrifically well at Crystal Palace and that’s why the club purchased him.”

The 21-year-old England youth international, who has been training with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side and is in contention for Saturday’s home game against Norwich, is Cardiff’s fifth signing of the January transfer window.

Zaha’s Brazilian teammate Fabio Silva has already joined the Bluebirds on a permanent move.

Cardiff sit bottom of the Premier League with 18 points, three points from safety.
