The Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti State, admitted only 550 of the 8,000 applicants who sought admission into the institution for the 2013/2014 academic session.

The Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Isaac Azuzu, gave the figure on Friday at the 3rd Matriculation ceremony of the institution.
