Ekiti Guber Polls: My Husband Doesn’t Need To Rig To Emerge Victorious – Mrs Fayemi

bisi-fayemiWife of the Ekiti State Governor, Erelu Bisi Fayemi, has denied the allegation that her husband, Governor Kayode Fayemi is planning to rig the June 21 governorship election in the state.

She stood up to her husband’s defense on Saturday while reacting to an allegation by the wife of a Peoples Democratic Party governorship aspirant, Princess Adetomi Adeyeye, that the Fayemi-led administration was planning to rig the coming election in the state going by a statement that Fayemi would garner no fewer than 500,000 votes at the governorship polls.

Erelu Fayemi, who was addressing journalists at Isan Ekiti, refuted the allegation, saying her husband does not need to rig the forthcoming poll.

She attributed the support being given to her husband to “the sterling achievements” of the Fayemi-led administration.

Her words, “I only drew an analogy with the figure. I shouldn’t have said my husband will record 500,000 votes even when the whole voting strength of Ekiti is in the region of 750,000.

“I mean that the margin between my husband and others will be high that if he polls 500,000 the next person will be less than 100,000.

“That was what I meant about the statement. Some people misinterpreted it”.
