Incessant violent clashes between Fulani herdsmen and farmers in Benue State which has led to the loss of so many lives has made Gabriel Suswam, Governor of the state call for the dislodgement of the herdsmen.

According to him, once the nomads are allowed to set up their base, they attack anywhere, adding that for their proximity to his state, Kogi and Nasarawa states are not safe from the rampaging nomads.

The governor fielded questions from State House correspondents, shortly after he briefed President Goodluck Jonathan on the development in his state.

At least, seven persons were feared killed Tuesday morning when suspected Fulani herdsmen and some Tiv farmers in Guma local government area of the state.
