Liverpool doused Arsenal’s chances of winning their first major title since 2005 by trouncing Arsene Wenger’s men 5-1 at Anfield on Saturday.
CNN broadcaster and an outspoken Arsenal fan Piers Morgan came up with all the questions awaiting to be answered ahead of the club’s busy months of February and March. The Gunners will have played five times in two weeks when they host European champions, Bayern Munich, at the Emirates Stadium on 19th February, but the first of two matches against Brendan Rodgers’ Liverpool offered loads of side ‘distractions’ for many Arsenal fans- Morgan, to say the most vibrant of all.
Wenger had a chance to win the League this season. And he bought one injured has-been in a position we didn’t need cover. Shocking. #Afc

Defender Martin Skrtel scored his brace in the first ten minutes of kick-off before Raheem Sterling and Daniel Sturridge made it 4-0 going into the break.
The teenager completed his brace seven minutes into the second-half as Liverpool rubbished both their managers and Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho’s claims; one, that the Reds are not title challengers and two, the top three are in it, respectively.
The top three? In a nutshell the Reds succeeded in blowing open the title run-ins into a four-horse race as only five points now separate the top four with Arsenal set for life in the third spot on the league standing by the end of the day.
If this had happened 2 weeks ago, Wenger would have spent big. That’s what he’s like. And that’s why I want a new manager. #Afc

When will Wenger be signing his new £25m 3-year deal? Tomorrow? I’m curious. #Afc

Arsenal will finish this month with games against Manchester United (home), Liverpool (home in the FA Cup) and Bayern. They end March with Bayern (away), Tottenham (away), Chelsea (away) and Manchester City (home). Can the Gunners build or keep any momentum before May?
Arsenal will be 3rd in League by tonight, we have Liverpool in the FA Cup and Bayern in the CL. Don’t tell me to ‘calm down’ please. #Afc

I told a friend last night our entire season could end in next three weeks. And my worst fears look like they’re coming true. #Afc

The consolation came when Mikel Arteta pulled one back for Arsenal from 12 yards after Gerrard hacked down Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain but Morgan had no reason to be concerned.
Nope. You’re not getting a ‘BOOM’ for that, Arsenal. I refuse to celebrate any aspect of this debacle. #Afc

It’s not losing to a good Liverpool side that hurts. It’s the pathetic manner of our loss. And yes, I blame Wenger. Buck stops with him.
