Super-Four Tourney: Participants Get N1m Each.

The four teams participating in this year’s Super Four tournament has been paid the sum of N1 million as participation fee by the League Management Company (LMC)

The traditional pre-season tournament will be played between January 24 to 28.

2012/13 champions Kano Pillars, Runners-up and Federation Cup winners, Enyimba, third-placed Bayelsa United and Federation Cup losing finalists, Warri Wolves will be eligible for the 2013/14 Pre-season tournament.

“LMC has today paid into the clubs account the participation fee of N1million for them to prepare very well, a member of the LMC, Shehu Dikko, disclosed this to Prompt News at the Glass House during a Consultative meeting with the leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Tuesday..

“We are giving them in advance so that they can prepare well, we all known that getting funds at beginning of the year is not easy.
“We are in top gear that is why we came for consultation at the NFF and they are fully in support of what we are doing pertaining to the pre-season tournament”.

Dikko further disclosed that gates to the Abuja National stadium will be thrown open for fans and buses provided for transportation to match venue.

“We shall allow the gate to be open free to allow the fans to come and cheer their teams to victory,” Dikko spoke further.

“This is the first time in the history of football in Abuja that we are providing buses from Kubwa, Mararaba, Lugbe all over the city to convey fans free of charge to the stadium to watch the game”.
