Mob Set Driver, His Vehicle On Fire After He Hit An Okada

A driver and his vehicle were set ablaze by an angry mob in Omi town in Ondo State New Year’s Eve.

According to reports, the driver was attacked after a fatal accident involving his bus and a motorbike along the Irele-Omi Road.

The motorbike rider and two of his passengers died in the accident which also injured several other passengers.

A few eyewitnesses’ account revealed that the motorbike rider attempted to pass a vehicle, but found the passageway too narrow, leading to a crash that killed him and two others on the spot. One witness said the rider was pinned to the spot while his two passengers were thrown into a nearby bush.

Angered by the accident, a mob of irate residents of Omi town, home of the victims, set upon the bus driver and beat him to death before setting him ablaze inside his bus.

Reports also revealed that policemen from Irele came to the scene and quietly left without helping the victims or rescuing the driver of the vehicles who was later killed by the mob.

Yul Edochie calls for Buhari's resignation

Popular actor turned politician, Yul Edochie, who had signified interest to contest the presidency in the forthcoming elections in 2019 has called for the resignation of President Buhari.

He made the call via his Twitter handle on Monday afternoon, October 19.

According to Yul, President Buhari was very vocal during the Goodluck Jonathan administration and called for the resignation of the former President on the basis of poor performance.

He opined that President Buhari has performed worse than Jonathan, therefore he should resign from office.
