APC Debunks Rumors Of Leadership Crisis In Kaduna

apc-logoThe All Progressives Congress in Kaduna State has dispelled rumours over the purported leadership crisis rocking the party.

This clarification followed recent unverified claims that the Interim State Chairman of the party, Dr. Hakeem Baba Ahmed, who recently received scores of defecting prominent members of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the state to APC fold, has been sacked from his post.

The party’s Interim Secretary, Dr Tahir Attahir, who made this known yesterday at a media briefing in Kaduna, said there was no attempt to remove the chairman and there wasn’t any intra-party squabble.

“The ruling PDP which has lost a large number of members knows the truth. Perhaps, in alarmed reaction to the successes of the Kaduna State APC, there have been attempts in the last few days to create an impression that a few members of the party are against the leadership of the party in the state.

“These attempts are targeted at discrediting the current efforts to give our millions of supporters a sense of belonging and empower them to participate fully in the activities of the party.

“Our party values intra-party democracy and will avail all members opportunities to participate fully in all its activities. We, therefore, use this opportunity to re-affirm our full support behind the purposeful leadership of our able Chairman, Dr Hakeem Baba-Ahmed and members of the state Executive Committee.

“We call on all members to disregard attempts by the opposition and its agents to discredit the commendable work being undertaken by our leadership”, the party’s scribe said.
