IOC Set to Expel India from Olympic.

India could be expelled from the Olympic movement unless they comply to ethics rules, says the president of the International Olympic Committee Thomas Bach.

India have yet to agree to the IOC’s demand to bar officials accused of corruption from running the affairs of the India Olympic Association (IOA).

They were suspended by the IOC in 2012 because of government interference in its election process.

“The (Olympic) charter is clear. If the suspension leads to no solution, then further steps could be withdrawal of recognition,” Bach told the Associated Press (AP).

The IOA is due to meet on Sunday to consider deliberate on the issue.

“We need to be strict and make sure the rules of good governance are being applied,” added Bach.

India won six medals (two silver and four bronze) at the London 2012 Games.
