Chelsea is in Trouble- Mourinho.

Chelsea FC boss Jose Mourinho stated critically his side are “in trouble’ after another dramatic 3-2 defeat by Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday.

Oussama Assaidi’s late winner saw the hosts come from behind to stun the Blues after Andre Schurrle had given the visitors the lead within just 9 minutes of play.

“I don’t feel comfortable enough to tell you what I think about the game,” the Portuguese, who looked angry in his post match spin, said. “We’re in trouble.

“I prefer to be simple and pragmatic and say they scored one more goal than us. They won and we lost. I can’t go much further than because I can’t analyse with you certain aspects of the game.”

Chelsea have fallen behind in each of their last three games against Stoke, Sunderland and Southampton, conceding a total of seven goals.

As a matter of fact, the Blues have already conceded 15 goals so far, that’s more than they did in the whole of Mourinho’s debut season in 2004/05.

“It is a concern (conceding many goals recently). I don’t like it. I don’t organize my teams to be like this. Sometimes mistakes kill an organisation,” he added.

Chelsea wasted several goal-scoring chances after getting one-goal up against Stokes.

The hosts stepped up their performance in the second-half after striker Peter Crouch had restored parity, going into the break.

A lovely curled effort by substitute Stephen Ireland put the Potters ahead after the interval, but Schurrle leveled with a superb half-volley.

The Germany international then hit the bar before Stoke substitute Assaidi grabbed all three points for his side with an angled strike.

Mourinho rued missed chances in the first-half, stressing his boys could have wrapped up victory with the chances they got.

“I could see that result happening because after half an hour we should have been winning three or four nill- and we weren’t.

“I can compare this first-half with another two first-halves- Everton and Newcastle, they were exactly the same.

“We didn’t score enough goals and on top of that we made defensive mistakes. If you don’t score a lot of goals but you don’t make defensive mistakes, then you can win just one goal.

“In the last 15 or 20 minutes we lay well, the game they wanted was the game we gave them.

“I think the players trying to give everything to the team and working hard, and when players try to give everything to my team, I can’t criticise,” Mourinho noted.

A victory on Saturday could have dragged Chelsea to within a point of leaders Arsenal, who have a game in hand on Sunday, but the loss means they could fall behind by seven points should the Gunners earn victory against Everton.

However, the Blues sits third on the log as Liverpool climbed second with their 4-1 win over West Ham, while Manchester City’s 1-1 draw at Southampton leaves them in fourth.
