Cardiff Still Keen on Yobo- Reports.

English Premier League side Cardiff City have reportedly continued in their pursuit of Nigeria international Joseph Yobo.

Just last summer, the Welsh club made several contacts with the Super Eagles skipper in a bid to hand him a deal, which fell through. However, they have made consistent approach for the experienced defender and are poised to renew their interest in the winter transfer according to fanatik.com.

Having being demoted to the bench at the Istanbul-based club and played fewer role in their Super Lig campaign, Yobo could part ways with the side so as to improve his chances of making selection for next year’s World Cup, but that may, as well mean a significant pay cut.

In the meantime, the uncertainties at Cardiff following the “resign or get sacked” threat issued to the club boss Malky Mackay by owner Vincent Tan over the former’s January transfer plans could eventually hamper a final agreement for the services of Yobo, but other Turkish club are also reported to have tabled a bid for the ex-Everton centre-back.
