2014 World Cup: Keshi Wants Super Eagles Camp in the US.

Coach Stephen Keshi has disclosed he has proposed Nigeria set up training camp in the United States of America before the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

He said he prefers the selection of the North American nation for the camp, which is due for May 25th, because its cities shares similar weather condition with cities in the South American host nation.

“I have proposed that we camp in the United States because by the time we would be opening our camping the US would have the same weather as Brazil,” said Keshi.

Keshi opted for the US cities of Miami or Houston, adding: “There are several US cities that would be hot like Brazil and would have the same temperature like Sao Paolo, where we would be based at the World Cup.”

The Eagles head coach also favoured invitations from/to countries with similar style of play with their World Cup group opponents- Argentina, Iran and Bosnia.

“Considering the countries we have in our group, I would like the Eagles to play countries from the region that have the same play style. But it would also depend on the availability of such countries because some of them may have concluded their friendly arrangement already,” he said.

Keshi further revealed Japan are so far the only country that has shown interest in playing the Eagles.

“While in Brazil for the draws I was told Japan were interested in playing us. I would also like to play countries like Peru,” noted Keshi.
