PHOTO: Notorious Witch Hunter, Helen Ukpabio, to Reopen Her Ministry

A notorious witch hunter, Helen Ukpabio, a.k.a. ‘Lady Apostle’ is back! She has just announced a witch finding and witch delivering session tagged “Ember Months Special 2013”.

helen_ukpabio_witch_0The program is taking place November 11-17, 2013, at the headquarters of the Liberty Gospel Church in Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria.

The theme of the event is ‘Witches on the Run’. Helen Ukpabio also invites people to come for “free deliverance”.

She qualified the deliverance as free just to create the impression that she will not charge any fee, and she would not generate income from it!

The poster has an image of a wolf at the background. A wolf is locally believed to be a witch’s familiar in the region. The image of this familiar invokes fears and fantasies of impending danger or misfortune in the minds of the local population.

The poster further states:

“Is your family sold out to witches? Are you oppressed or tormented by the witches? Are you a victim/prey/slave/servant in witchcraft coven? Are you a witch or wizard? There is a special deliverance for the possessed and the oppressed.”

Helen Ukpabio has literally re-launched her witch hunting ministry which is blamed for the menace of child witchcraft allegations and human rights abuses in the region. For some time now her ministry has been criticized locally and international because of its role in fuelling witchcraft accusation and related abuses in Nigeria and beyond.

‘Lady Apostle’ claims to be an ex-witch with a divine mandate and power to exorcize the spirit of witchcraft. She made witchcraft deliverance the primary mission of her Liberty Gospel Church.

It would be recalled that in Cameroon, the government has ordered the closure of around 100 Pentecostal churches following the death of a 9-year old girl in a local church. The girl reportedly collapsed and died during a prayer session to cast out the ‘numerous demons’ that controlled the girl’s life.

Do you think Ukpabio’s activities have to be stopped by the local government of Cross River State?

This woman is evil and I actually believe it’s true she was a witch before. I met her earlier this year and the coldness she emits is unbelievable. I kept getting goosebumps till I left her. By the way I left her gulping glass after glass of wine!!!!

Deolu n Tessy, If you’ve experienced first hand what witches do, you wouldn’t indulge in this cheap sentimental criticism and defamation of the pastor. If you think witch hunting is a fun sport, then think again. She’s helping make this place habitable, let her pls

Lol @ Solomon. Have you watched any of those witch hunting revival clips? I think you need to watch them. She might be doing good but she’s causing more harm. Akwa Ibom is going haywire abt witches; children esp. A white man had to do a documentary on it, her ministry etc. When u watch dt documentary, u can’t help but let ur tears flow dt is if u av emotions seeing sights of deformation of children body parts due to witch-hunting; how they r starved just to deliver them? We should think twice pls!

This is from the pit of hell!!! She should be banned. Jesus never spoke about killing but if forgiveness and love. Every child is a blessing from God. Jesus showed us the ultimate example of how to love children. No child is born a witch. Helen should be banned from spreading evil and lies and fro fostering hatred and fear in Nigeria!

Biafra: Nnamdi Kanu Explodes Over #LekkiMassacre Of #EndSARS Protesters

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has condemned the attack on peaceful #EndSARS protesters at Lekki toll gate in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial city.

It was reported earlier that soldiers of the Nigerian Army invaded a peaceful protest at Lekki toll gate on Tuesday evening.

Reacting to the attack on the peaceful protesters in Lagos in a tweet, Kanu, a director of Radio Biafra, said it is “shocking that Southern Nigerians are tolerating a Northern Muslim” President Muhammadu Buhari “using the Army to kill unarmed Southern #EndSARS protesters in Lagos” on a “Southern soil”.

The apparently furious IPOB leader wondered if “Southern Christian President” would ever “contemplate killing unarmed Northern Muslim protesters in Kano”, northern Nigeria.

Kanu tweeted: It’s shocking that Southern Nigerians are tolerating a Northern Muslim @NGRPresident using the Army to KILL unarmed Southern #EndSARS protesters in Lagos, a Southern soil? Would a Southern Christian President ever contemplate killing unarmed Northern Muslim protesters in KANO?”
