Claims To Be The UK’s Oldest Gamer At The Age Of 78

A granny who queued past midnight to get her hands on the latest Call of Duty is staking her claim as the country’s oldest gamer.

Widow Doreen Fox, 78, got hooked on computer games in the 1980s while playing with grandson Gareth.

She also loves violent Grand Theft Auto on her Xbox and said: “I don’t understand the controversy behind all these games, they are not half fun.

“I suffered two strokes in 2008 and this keeps me on my toes.”

She and Gareth, now 32, queued for three hours to buy Call of Duty: Ghosts.

Retired cleaner Doreen, of Dudley, West Mids, said: “I don’t think I ever beat Gareth. I shoot the wrong man – but I don’t mind. I love the violence.”
