Segun Olagbebi, 37, and Tokunbo Olukoya, 38, were on Thursday arraigned before an Abule-Egba Magistrate Court in Lagos, for allegedly defiling two daughters of their neighbours, aged 11 and 13 years, respectively.

The accused, who reside at No. 85, Akinpelumi Close, Oko-Paki, Kola Bus stop, Agbado-Ijaiye, both carpenters, are standing trial on a four-count charge of r*pe.

The prosecutor, Insp. Racheal Williams, told the court that the offences were committed on July 12 and August 4, at their residence.

According to the prosecution, on July 12, the accused defiled an 11-year-old daughter of one of their neighbours in the room of the first accused.

“Also, on August 4, the first accused, Segun defiled the 13-year-old daughter of the second accused in his (Olukoya’s) room.

“It was the screaming of the girl that attracted the neighbours and the first accused (Olagbebi) was arrested. It was at the police station that Segun told the police that both himself and Olukoya had previously r*ped an 11-year-old daughter of one of their neighbours,” she said.

The case was adjourned till October 15, for mention.
