Obi Of Onitsha Places Curse On APC For Holding Campaign Rally Same Day With His Annual Ofala Festival

The All Progressives Congress, APC, has incurred the wrath of the Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Nnaemeka Achebe, for flagging off the gubernatorial campaign of its candidate in the November 16 Anambra polls, Senator Chris Ngige on the same he was rounding up his annual Ofala Festival.

The APC kicked off its campaign yesterday, which was witnessed by a mammoth crowd that defied the rains to converge on the Basilica of the Most Holy Trinity, Onitsha – the commercial city was also host to the Ofala festival which was holding a stone throw away at the Palace of the Onistsha monarch.

The monarch, who expressed surprise, said it was very disrespectful for a political party and its governorship candidate, in spite of almost one year notice for the Ofala, to fix its rally the same day and out of annoyance, struck his symbol of tradition three times to express his feelings.

Igwe Achebe, while praying at the Ime Obi as part of activities, marking this year’s Ofala festival said, “Today, a political party has chosen to launch its campaign for governorship in Onitsha at the same time the Ofala is going on despite the one-year notice we gave to them. If anybody defiles the land, the land shall defile the person,” he stated.

Speaking in the same vein, Anambra State governor, Peter Obi frowned at the time the APC campaign train chose to storm Onitsha, adding that a true Igbo man should not have allowed the tradition of his people to be trampled upon because of sheer interest for one office or another.

Gov. Obi further said for APC to fix its rally on the same day the Obi of Onitsha was marking his Ofala festival, was an insult on the leadership of Ndigbo.

He recalled that his party, All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, had shifted their rally from Tuesday, October 8 to Monday, October 7, so as to avoid a clash with the Ofala festival.

“A dog bears the name given it by its owner and that it behooves on Igbo to stand firmly and insist that their traditional institution must be accorded full respect at all times” the governor said, while pleading with Onitsha youths, who were already spoiling for a showdown with placards, to sheathe their swords.

I’m not surprise at action of the APC. What do we expect when a terrorist like Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is leading. He’s going to give Ngege a bad luck. Buhari is Boko Haram leader in the North while Tinubu rep leader Agbero in the south. Obi I urge you repeat curse for seven consecutive days. This mad man, Tinubu will soon go back to where he come frm week ago, this time for brain surgery.

sometimes I wonder what people are thinking . let’s put political ambitions aside, 1 year announcement of igwe achebe ofala in his own territory should be uphold by the celebration. Please you people should blame ngige for that rally. For those who use to visit other ethnic tribes, who is that son of a woman to distract the attention of emirs, obas in their ofala day. Dame it Igbo culture for that matter, and only what you post is blaming the admin, peter obi, achebe etc. Let me put it to you if Dr Ngige did not render apology to Igwe and Onitsha, he will lose his vote and he will be robbed my incumbent government especially vote in onitsha.

what is wrong wit dis guy ngige? inflicting injuries nd pains on everyman ever since he rose his gorvernoship ambition. Den, it was him nd Peter Obi, deportation issues, to worsen it all, Oduade market was short down bcos of his visit in Lagos nd he did nt show up rather he went to ladipo market keeping d people at Oduade in suspence. no mkt, no fud (i was der at Oduade mkt, no be dem say). Now, is btw him nd Obi Achebe of d state he’s about to rule. watin self!!! my bro ngige, just pray for God’s favour nd apologise to Anambrarians nd also make peace wit Obi Achebe. And for ur 12 POINTS AGENDER, I personally do nt agree wit it. Anybody dat would win should just give us CONSTANT ELECTRICITY, GOOD ROADS, AND QUALITY EDUCATION. These 3 alone will solve other problems we face in Anambra State. Long live Eze ndi igbo ni’le

“Oke Wasn’t Killed By Stray Bullet, He Was Stabbed By Thugs” - Brother Claims
Oke

Oke

Information Nigeria recalls a graphics designer identified as Oke, was killed hours after tweeting “Nigeria will not kill me” on Wednesday.

It was reported that the young man had passed away after he was hit by a stray bullet.

The deceased’s younger brother, Daniel has come out to clear the air regarding the circumstances leading to his death.

Daniel revealed his brother was stabbed on the neck by thugs who infiltrated and ransacked their home.

In his words;

Good day, My name is Obi-Enadhuze Daniel younger brother of the now deceased Okechukwu Obi-Enadhuze @O_Okee . I, my brother and mother lived at makinde police barracks, mafoluku, Oshodi, Lagos State.

Today at about 11 o’clock in the morning the police station at makinde was attacked by thugs who wanted to destroy the station, I my mom and brother were holed up in our house.

The attack went on for hours before the thugs eventually breached the police and proceeded to set the station on fire, after accomplishing this they set their sights to the barracks and began the assault, they proceeded to destroy every car in the barracks, my mom’s 2 cars where destroyed and set on fire and then they infiltrated our house by breaking the door they then proceeded to ransack the house and carted away with everything we own.

my brother on trying to get them to take everything but spare us was pushed to my mom’s room and stabbed on the neck, the attacker then proceeded to attack me but missed my neck but got my chin instead, after this my mom and I carried my brothers body to the entrance of the station soliciting for help from the thugs still ravaging the barracks, we were finally able to put him in a wheelbarrow and took him to a hospital where he was rejected because “he was already dead” unfazed we moved him to another hospital where he met the same treatment this was where he bled his last drops of blood and died, his body has now been moved to a morgue

we have lost every single thing we own, as our house was completely ransacked and set on fire the only thing left is my brothers phone and at about 8 o’clock this evening the barracks was still on fire but Okechukwu has paid with the ultimate price

I and my mother are homeless with nothing now but we’re safe for now, we thank everyone that has been able to reach out to us, and were able to share consoling words with us in these trying times, God bless you

While we were holed up in the house the three of us said these words together and we say it again ” THREE OF US ARE HERE, THREE OF US ARE TOGETHER, THREE OF US ARE SAFE”

Let it be known that my brother @O_Okee  was NOT killed by a police bullet but died a hero protecting my mother and I.

If you see this please retweet, let the world know how Okechukwu died. He was NOT killed by a police bullet but thugs in his home!”
