Gov. Murtala Nyako of Adamawa said on Thursday that the ongoing construction of Dutse Cargo International airport by his Jigawa counterpart, Alhaji Sule Lamido would ease the export of agricultural produce to other countries.

Nyako said this when he spoke to newsmen after inspecting the airport in Dutse.

He said that when the airport was completed, it would enhance the exportation of farm produce from the northern part of the country.

According to him, the airport will also boost socio-economic activities in the Jigawa and other neighbouring states.

The governor said that the project was a long-term one that would be beneficial to the people and generations to come.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the two governors, thereafter, held a closed-door meeting that lasted for about two hours at the Government House, Dutse. (NAN)
