Jonathan Would’ve Been Better Off As A Nollywood Actor Not President – Tinubu

Published

on

tinubu-jonathanFormer Lagos State governor and chieftain of All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has told the Special Adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan on Public Affairs, Dr. Doyin Okupe to address the issues he raised concerning the planned National Conference rather than resort to abuses.

Tinubu had on arrival from abroad where he underwent knee surgery about a fortnight ago dismissed the proposed National Conference as a “Greek gift, diversionary and an act of public deception” by Mr. Jonathan but the presidency reacted yesterday saying his conclusion was unjustifiable and went further to lampoon the APC chieftain.

According to Okupe, “Our dear Senator Tinubu wants the Yoruba Nation and indeed the people of Lagos State to believe that he is sincere in rendering public service to the state and the people, whereas he has heavily garrisoned the state political apparatus with a sizeable number of his immediate family members. Nigerians should ignore the vituperations of so-called leaders, who don’t see anything good in anyone or any programme except they are either in control of it or that it is tailored to satisfy their inordinate desires and greed”.

However, in a statement last night by his Special Adviser, Media, Mr. Sunday Dare, Tinubu said: “The reaction of Goodluck Jonathan’s Presidential cry babies to Tinubu’s extensive comments on the proposed national conference was predictable. As usual, rather than deal with the salient and substantial issues surrounding the proposed National Conference raised by former Governor Tinubu, the reaction from the Presidency skirted around them.

“In typical fashion, it resorted to abusive language and name calling. Okupe, like a punch drunk pugilist threw several empty jabs and went on a flight of fancy, praising his boss and flaunting fictional achievements of the administration in the face of Nigerians.

“We leave it to Nigerians to judge. They are the ones, who feel the pains and millions will not be able to relate to all the fictional transformational achievements reeled out by the Presidency. Nigerians are saddled with a President who believes fiction is more important than fact and imagination is more genuine than reality. While we would not mind such a person to be a leading figure in our Nollywood film industry, I am frightened that he is the Chief Resident of Aso Villa and surrounded by a cast of like minds.

“Tinubu’s searching questions about the Jonathan Conference remain fundamental. We urge Jonathan and his cry babies to take time to read through the statement and address the cloud of doubts surrounding the proposed conference. This is a flip-flopping Presidency and on this issue it must provide answers. Tinubu is satisfied that that he has raised the provocative questions that need be asked and no amount of shadow boxing and presidential foul language can change that.”

Tinubu himself would have been best suited as a cartoon character. Ewu, Ode, Barawo, Dan Banza, Ebot.

Tinubu remain a thug anyday, anytime. I pity Lagosian who allow a thief to supretend over their collective wealth. He took over the Lagos State Polytechnic land and trun it to his empire, and Lagosians including the big mouth Fani Kayode are keeping quite. when he was away, there was piece until he return with his thuggery. Why is he afraid of GEJ? He was thinking GEJ will not achieve anything, that was why he and his co-traveller Bokohari came up with Boko haram agenda to distract GEJ, but they have failed cos Nigeria is on the move. Lagos State with internally generated revenue of N20b, yet the State is the most indebted State in Nigeria, Tinubu will not say anything because he got N3b every month for doing nothing. Shame on Tinubu.

Sensible people address issue not sentiments. Jonathan administration has always opposed to any form of conference since inception. If he suddenly woke up and supported one should we not ask questions. Must we all turn to jonathan’s dog and consume any vomit from him as most south south and other crumb eaters do?

The problem with Nigerian is that they forget too easy. This is the man that fail to listen to advice from elders and civil society about national conference and other pressing matter. All because everything is going against him now, he remember that we need a national conference. The fact is that he is a selfish president.

If anyone should succeed oga Jonah not the like of Tinubu, a notorious criminal, tout, scavenger, thief & ritualist.

Why do we always take critism whether positive or negative as political? What govt want is trust and if I cannot trust you on major issues of governace how do you want me to trust on you this? Questions raised by Tinubu are fundamental sentiment aside.People should be able to read in between the lines until then.

I wonder if we will ever learn in this country, at first GEJ rejected the conference why is he so keen about it now. I am not a fan of politics bt to be realistic GEJ has failed this country, I knew right from the inception dat he has nothing to offer. May God help this country. As for tinubu I think he is right let’s put aside the ethnic or religious politics nigerians should say the fact rather than taking sides based on south, west, east and north. @ goddy, prince nd others

@harix u directed this for me right, something must make any one to change mind in any situation just as we learn and add to what we have learnt on daily bases as well.how can u expect jonathan to accept conference in his first year or less than that in office just to please tinubu or any one else, that will amount to acting without reasoning and people like u will be the first to call him push over or push around just as before he was clueless but now he’s dictatorship just because he wants to take a stand on somethings.we should leave tribal politics because nigeria will never develop with that attitude or better still we can be ruled by zones so that u will be free to chose tinubu as your leader while i will remain with goodluck whom i knew had done nothing bad as a leader.u said jonathan has failed u can u tell me what obasanjo did in his 8years that is better than what jonathan did already, or any other leader that has done better than him in the period he has stayed in power despite the ungovernable that was promised him. with all the challenges he is still performing. u hate the person and what he represent period, which is normal but discrediting people unjustly is a curse to whoever does it

Mr Tinubu better shuts his big dirty mouth up. He is not better off than Jonathan in any way. Someone who has made Lagos his own. 80% of the revenue of the state goes to his pocket. He brought in thugs and area boys into Lagos who exploits commercial drivers in all motor parks in the state. His late old mother was the iyaloja for all her life and now the daughter has taken that seat. He is more like the governor cos he super-impose his selfish decisions on his boy, Fashola.
Why is he insulting Jonathan? Is it because we are living in a country of lawlessness? Can u imagine? Would someone in the US insult Obama such way? Everyone has their flaws as humans. God is the only perfect one.

What is the essence of a national confrence to be ratified by the national assembly? Tinubu’s posers are borne out of the fact that the volte face by the presidency might be as a result of deft political manouvers towards 2015.
Haven’t we gone through this process before? were the recomendations implemented? Don’t you also think that if resolution reached in this proposed one does not favour the presidents ambition it would amount to an exercise in futility?

I think if smbody can read and write, that shld be able 2 distinguish him/her frm d village of illiterates. Bt im highly disappointed by some pple here. Why cant we attack issues and stop attacking personality? Im frm d south-west, dis same Tinubu brought us a manageable democracy in d S/W eventhough better off d obvious rigging method of PDP. I dont know d level of decay dt wld av happened 2 d S/W had it been Obasanjo was able 2 hijack lagos from dis living hero. Now, some secondary illiterates are now castigating d man. Every rational human being wld knw dt, He has raised a very sensitive and fundamental issue dt needs urgent attention. Jonathan is trying 2 divert pple’s attention frm d current problems we are facing in d country as wel as trying 2 manipulate 2015 in his favour.

It surprises me that some people are yet to know the truth about Tinubu. Tinubu is a malicious worm in Nigeria’s democracy who only causes trouble and cannot render solutions. I think he should expand his political career beyond Lagos, gun for office of the president and see if he can ever win. I’m sure Nigerians will show him the truth he never knew…”all lagosians are Nigerians but not all Nigerians are lagosians”

Tinubu himself would have also been better off as a clown of a very bogus order, running a party as his private investments, pocketing 25% of every contract awarded in ACN states, filling up the lagoon and linning it up with his private God knows how many stars hotel. Spending tax payers money on bogus birthday celebrations, building lekki express with tax payers money and turning back to collect tolls from the same tax payers.. and so many other wicked and ridiculous requests for positions from the yet-to-grow-teeth APC, for wife, children and relatives. He is more selfish, desperate abd hungry for power than 10 numbers of GEJ put together. Nigerians are wiser than Tinubu and his cohorts thinks, they know all that is happening, and who their true friends and enemies are. He should better continue to enjoy his loots quietly before opening his mouth to call people names

D fact remains that two legs can never walk together unless dey agree..dis is fundamental to the challenges we r facing in Nigeria. The timing and oda things aside, Nigerians need to talk in a genuin nd neutral ground to face these challenges either as a united entity or a divided one.

Tunubu in first place does not have parents otherwise he will definitely know how to respect elders besides knowing where he comes from. One thing I admire so much in the west is the display of respect that they give to their elders.Secondly,we are all aware that he tunubu just came back from head surgery so he is trying to recover from the operation.Thirdly, what do you expect from a thug?
    He’s only seeking relevance.

You are a worthy successor, Aregbesola tells Oyetola

Aregbesola and Oyetola

Rauf Aregbesola, former Governor of Osun State and Minister of Interior, has described Governor Gboyega Oyetola as a worthy successor.

In a congratulatory statement in Osogbo on Friday to mark Oyetola’s second anniversary, the Minister said the Osun governor has weathered the storm of governance effectively.

Aregbesola wrote: “I write to congratulate you on the second anniversary of your administration.

“I look back with pride and nostalgia the hard-fought battle of your election and the continuation of progressive administration in the State of Osun.

“There have been challenges along the line – the inclement national financial weather, the COVID-19 pandemic and others not so significant. But you have weathered the storm admirably and steadied the ship of state.

“The challenges will no doubt present a new format as you step into the third year. These are heightened political participation, pressure to deliver more dividends of democracy and increased demands from the political system. I have no doubt that you will cope nicely.

“Please continue to make the welfare of the people your biggest concern. They are the reason for the state. Without them there will be no government or any political office to occupy.

“Once again, congratulations, as I wish you a resounding success in office and every aspect of life.

“My kind regards to the good wife, Alhaja Kafayat Oyetola and the entire cabinet of the State of Osun.”
