This follows Malawi’s government assurance that it will release extra fund for the Flames who have a short-fall.

The Fam general secretary Suzgo Nyirenda and accountant Christopher Mdolo have since arrived in the host country to do the ground work ahead of the team’s arrival.

The Flames are currently in Botswana for a friendly match on Tuesday before leaving for Calabar, the venue of the Group F decider.

“They (Nyirenda and Mdolo) have arrived safely in Nigeria. It is important for us to prepare for the team’s arrival and secure training pitches and the like. We do not want the coaches to have an excuse,” Fam media officer Casper Jangale told supersport.com.

Malawi are presently second in Group F with seven points, two points short of Nigeria and needs a win to proceed into the play-off round of the 2014 Brazil World Cup qualifiers.

Nigeria needs a draw to advance to the final two-legged qualifying round.
