The Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Mohammed Ibrahim, told News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Yola that the gunmen attacked the station at about 9: 25 p.m. on Wednesday.
Ibrahim said that the attackers fired shots and explosives during the operation.
“The station was burnt because of the explosives used. We lost two of our men and one other sustained injuries.
“The attackers have escaped to Borno State. You know the place is bordering Borno State”, Ibrahim added.
NAN reports that the attack was the first of its kind since the imposition of a State of Emergency on the state by President Goodluck Jonathan in May. (NAN)
