Sharks Forward Okemiri Dreams Continental Ticket.

Sharks have emerged from being a relegation candidate to becoming a side fighting fighting for continental ticket, thanks to rejuvenated spirit and doggedness which has seen them rake in points.

In light of the Port-Harcourt side’s change of fortune, winger Anthony Okemiri, has reechoed the club’s intent to claim a slot in the continental championship next season.

Sharks saw off El-Kanemi 3-0 at the Sharks Stadium to increase their point haul to 47 after 34 matches and Okemiri believes the dream to feature in a continental competition next season is realisable.

“We’re still working as well as dreaming and believing we will be able to grab a continental ticket,” the former Kwara United player told supersport.com.

“Right now our priority is to fight hard to grab points on the road in the remaining matches, points on the road will fast track the realisation of our dream for a ticket on the continent.

“But most importantly is to garner points that will see us completely climb out from the danger zone. It’s better for our image and the caliber of players in Sharks for us to finish the league race on a respectable position than being wedged in the drop zone.

“We are happy things are looking up for us now and we’ve vowed not to lift our legs on the throttle till the last game of the season.”
