Redknapp Wants Adebayo at QPR on Loan.

Queens Park Rangers (QPR) boss Harry Redknapp says he would like to sign Tottenham Hotspur striker Emmanuel Adebayo on loan, but admits his chances are slim.

The Togo International has been told to train with the reserves having fallen out of favour at White Hart Lane.

“He’d be a great loan, that’s for sure,” Redknapp said. “I don’t know what will happen with him.”

Adebayo’s contract at the London club runs until 2015 but would be allowed to join a lower league side, which transfer window opened earlier in the week, but the former Spurs manager admits it would be difficult to persuade the 29-year-old to drop down to the Championship.

“He’s a good player but it’s up to Tottenham, they have lots of good players. He can’t go on loan in the Premier League, he can only go into the Championship but whether he’d want to do that- it would be difficult I think,” Redknapp added.

Adebayo arrived Tottenham in the summer of 2011 on a season-long loan and ended the season on a high, finishing as the club’s top goal scorer with 18 goals.

He signed a permanent deal with Spurs in August 2012 on a reduced wage. He was told by Andre Villas-Boas he could leave at the end of last season.
